Building a living wiki for my sci-fi universe

LLM wiki self-hosted blogs

I'm a hard sci-fi fan and love to explore alternate history timelines, the what-if scenarios and so on. I'm also a huge fan of The Expanse, Cyberpunk 2077, For All Mankind, Mass Effect, Isaac Asimov, that led me to write my own sci-fi book, Minds Across Millennia. That book is the chronicle of human history over a millennium, starting from the late 20th century to the early 31st century. It became a 235-page sci-fi novel that after a couple of re-reads, I noticed some inconsistencies and retcons that may cause confusion for readers. So I decided to build a wiki based on all my thoughts on this book's universe.

I first discovered LLM Wiki on a YouTube video, which led me to this repo. It will ingest the knowledge you build or write, maintain persistence, and immediately flag any conflicts. I used Obsidian as the viewer and it went well, until I realized it wasn't synced and I could only view it if I turned on my computer and opened it, or I had to pay a subscription to read it on my phone.

Then I discovered Quartz 4. Quartz offers a static site view of my LLM Wiki that I can access anywhere by making it a functional website at wiki.3san.fyi. Since I have a home server, I can host Quartz from there and tunnel it to Cloudflare, while still being able to run Claude Code to ingest the latest docs I provide to it. This is simply a note serve as static site and can be used for anything: study, concept, personal site and more.
